Community Rules, Etiquette, Terms of Use, and Privacy Guidelines

Thank you for being part of the FORGE community. As safety and inclusion are two of our biggest goals, we have established some basic guidelines for participation.

By joining and engaging with this community, you agree that you have read and will follow these rules and guidelines. You also understand that we reserve the right to suspend or terminate membership in this community for anyone who violates these rules.  FORGE reserves the right to bar, restrict, or suspend any user’s access to the website at any time for any reason.

The Rules

• Don’t Be A Dick.
• Respect others. When participating in forums or discussions, focus on the content of posts and not on the people making them. Please extend the benefit of the doubt to newer guests and members. Remember that there’s no such thing as a stupid question.
• All defamatory, abusive, profane, threatening, offensive, or illegal materials are strictly prohibited. Do not post anything that you would not want the world to see or that you would not want anyone to know came from you.
• Use caution when discussing personal details. Anonymity is to be respected and is imperative for this to remain a safe space.
• Respect intellectual property. Post content that you have personally created or have permission to use and have properly attributed to the content creator.
• Post your message or documents only to the most appropriate communities. This helps ensure all messages receive the best response by eliminating “noise.”
• Please be aware that violating the rules of the online community may lead to your removal from the forum.  Usually, the first violation will result in a notification, the second in a warning, and the third in your removal from the community, but we reserve the right to take immediate action in egregious cases. We also reserve the right to out completely horrendous behavior.

FORGE tries to actively monitor the site for inappropriate postings but does not on its own undertake editorial control of postings. However, we may miss things.  In the event that any inappropriate posting is brought to the attention of FORGE we will take all appropriate action, including removing the inappropriate posting and terminating access.

FORGE reserves the right to terminate access to any user who does not abide by these guidelines.  FORGE reserves the right to delete any content posted and may do so for any or no reason at any time.

FORGE may amend these rules at any time and without notice. Your use of the site following any amendment of these rules will signify your assent to and acceptance of the revised rules.
